When I was pregnant with my son, I longed for a Wise Woman to hold space for me in birth. Someone who understood birth as both science and sacred mystery. But when I couldn’t find that person, I stopped searching. I thought—maybe I am the one meant to hold space for myself.
I had my partner. I had dear friends. But still, I underestimated what birth requires. I found myself ‘fighting’ to birth my baby in love, without interference. And in that moment, I saw what I had been missing—someone to hold the light at the other side of the bridge.
That is what I now offer. Not control. Not interference. But deep, unwavering presence. A knowing, a trust, a reminder: You can do this. You were made for this.
